Hollyn - Horizon
Hollyn takes us on a journey with a conversation she has with God.She shares her constant battle with her human nature and her spirituality.
The song opens up with Hollyn opening up her mind to us. She paints a picture of a bitter sweet place, she rather not be as she to reside. Here she introduces the concept of her own humanity being the enemy of her spirituality. Hollyn goes on to express her faith in chasing after God. She expresses that she knows God is taking her somewhere and she can see him “on the Horizon.”
Hollyn looks back on advise given to her by her parents, “You’re going places” and “Life is always changing, and the only way you’re gonna make it, just keep your eyes on the shore.” These served as encouragements to remember that there is something more “on the Horizon.”
Horizon features music produced by Chris “Dirty Rice” Mackey & Joseph Prielozny for COBRA with strings by David Davidson and guitars by Robin Ghosh and Joseph Prielozny.
